The border cities of Tijuana and San Diego have mutually agreed to work together on issues that are impacting the border and strengthening it.

Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria signed a memorandum that include many areas of collaboration between both cities.

Pollution and environmental issues have been impacting both sides of the border for decades. Other areas of collaboration such as police services, fire services, and immigrant affairs also work in progress.

The accord between both cities will last until May 2024 which is eligible for renewal.
