The statewide 2022 Wildfires have put a halt to the employment or self-employment of thousands of individuals who live on or near wildfire areas in the northern and southern parts of the state of New Mexico.
New Mexico has been authorized Federal disaster aid in which eligible New Mexicans may receive Disaster Unemployment Assistance for whose employment or self-employment was disrupted or lost by the ongoing statewide fires.
Eligible New Mexicans may apply at various evacuation shelters or any New Mexico Workforce Connections offices across the state.
