The U.S. Army announced that soldiers refusing the COVID-19 vaccine will soon be discharged and separated from the service.

This also includes soldiers who do not have a pending or approved a request for vaccine exemption.

“Unvaccinated Soldiers present risk to the force and jeopardize readiness,” said Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth.

Unvaccinated soldiers who are discharged will not be eligible for pay and may have to return any incentive pay.
