This past Monday, President Joe Biden, signed an executive order for the State Department to deliver and design a new online passport renewal system.
Since the pandemic’s beginning, a standard passport renewal took up to 11 weeks. Travelers had the option to pay $60 to get their passports expedited.
Biden’s new executive order will allow passport turnaround time to be quicker with the executive order, Transforming Federal Customer Experience and Service Delivery to Rebuild Trust in Government.
