Extreme temperatures continue to impact the borderland every day. Also, high temperatures have not put a stop to migrant travel across the El Paso border sector.

Migrant apprehensions have been at an all-time high throughout the El Paso border sector as border patrol officials apprehend approximately 600 migrants per day. Most migrants that are apprehended have the chance to get a quick return to their home country or Mexico under Title 42. Also, many migrants have a chance to claim asylum under Title 8.

Most migrants who come across the border get expelled under Title 42 throughout West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Border officials in the El Paso sector apprehend most migrant individuals in the border town city of Sunland Park, New Mexico.

Even with rising temperatures across the border, border patrol officials expect more waves of migrants traveling crossing the border.
